DAY 1
DUBROVNIK Upon arrival in Dubrovnik, meet & greet at Dubrovnik Airport upon arrival, Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 1 highlights: Airport Greet Transfer to the hotel Dinner in the hotel Day 2
DUBROVNIK Morning city sightseeing of Dubrovnik covering the most important historical sight and natural beauties of this ancient city. Inside the Old City Walls, we will view masterpieces of medieval art: Onofrio’s Fountain, Franciscan and Dominican Monasteries, Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace, the Cathedral and Treasury, and Europe’s third oldest pharmacy. In the afternoon we will enjoy a cruise to Lokrum, the “island of love” and Cavtat, a small seaside resort on the site of the ancient Greek and Roman settlement Epidaurum. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik. Day 3
DUBROVNIK-SPLIT This morning we depart for Split, where we will have lunch. Our afternoon city tour of Split will include Diocletian’s Palace, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle and Cathedral, and a visit to the Mestrovic Art Gallery, housing numerous masterpieces in the gardens and halls of the artist’s former residence. Dinner and overnight in Split. Day 4
SPLIT-ZADAR-PLITIVICE Today we will continue up the coast, stopping enroute in Trogir to see the Cathedral and arriving in Zadar for a city sightseeing tour including: St. Francis Church and Treasury, St. Elia’s Church with its collection of icons and the ruins of the 2nd century BC Roman Forum. After lunch in Zadar we drive inland across the Velebit Mountain Range, arriving in Plitvice for dinner and overnight. Day 5
PLITVICE – POSTOJNA After breakfast we will tour the Plitvice Lakes National Park, with its 16 lakes connected by enchanting waterfalls. After lunch in Plitvice, we depart towards Postojna, passing through Rijeka, Croatia’s largest sea port. Dinner and overnight in Postojna. Day 5 PLITVICE – POSTOJNA After breakfast we will tour the Plitvice Lakes National Park, with its 16 lakes connected by enchanting waterfalls. After lunch in Plitvice, we depart towards Postojna, passing through Rijeka, Croatia’s largest sea port. Dinner and overnight in Postojna. Day 6 POSTOJNA – ZAGREB Morning tour of the Postojna Caves, the second largest in the world. The caves are 14 miles long and quite unique with their incredible limestone formations, underground lakes and fantastic colours. After lunch in Ljubljana, we take to the road again, with late afternoon arrival in Zagreb, where the tour ends. |
